Neopets

Some of us, may have had a deprieved childhood. Sure we had all those PC games, but were we truly happy? Things come and go, but do we always have the smae feeling at the beginning and at the end? This isn't the same with pets. And today, or should I say for the next 5 hours (just joking) will be talking about a website that has allowed me some 'deja vu'.For The real Schumks and Twerps, like ITE, who doesn't know 6 hoots about anything language, deja vu is the feeling of repeatedness. Now let me enlighten you with my version of Neopets.

When I first started play Neopets, The first problem I had was with choosing a pet. There are presently 44 different kinds of Pets, with werid names, and even werider hairstyles. [Return of the happy hippie days? - Ed] I chose a 'lupe', a kind of happy wolfish doggy-woggy. There are other kind of pets, some like Cows (Looks like Kyle), and some Bats, and lizards and loads of other Ugly but adorable stuff. Then came the problem of choosing names. As there about 42 million neopets, alot of the names i wanted were taken up (Dang!).

"Haunted Wood"?? "Tyrannia"?? "Space Station"?? This world freaks me out.

Anyway, I managed to complete the blasted thing. The main promblem i faced was with Dope (Money, or In Neopia, Its called Neopoints.)Things were that 'pensive, but its nice to feel the Dope rattling in your pocket? Ding-ga-ling. [Yeah, but don't try going through customs with dope. You could get hanged, Dewinne -Ed] The help setting is rather difficult to find, but quite recently there's special help, but it still can't answer all my questions!.

Don't be afraid to walk around, or click around I should say... the games, which they provide, like chess and pinball are quite interesting, and fun too. Besides you get dope for playing. Although there is no evil/vulgar content found anywhere, there is a small amount of violence. Your little pet can go round attacking other little pets. In my case, I was attacked by some BIG pet.

Your pet has Stats of course. Attack, defense, speed, aglity and intelligence. You do different stuff to get an increase. You can also learn skills, like throwing magic pebbles... and turning on lights. [A very useful skill -Ed]

At least now we know why hippies had pet rocks. With the amount of marijuana they were inhaling, Richard Simmons would look cute and adorable.

There are lots of places to explore. Snow towns, and even deserts. You can buy food for your pet, so he won't be hungry. A good thing about Neopets is that your pet never dies. You can make it starve, but it won't die. Not like your digimon, which always dies just because you forgot to clean the Shaizah away.

I think I've said enough. I know most [2(ONE)A]reans think that Neopets is dumb game, but you haven't tried it, so squeeze your tips. Just try it for one month and you see what I have been trying to say. Maybe it's because I never had a pet. Well, now I've got one. Even though I can't feel its fur, or talk to it, or even feel its presence, I still have a pet. One that is stuck to my computer screen forever, one that I don't have clean its Shaizah, one that is truly non-living.
